Your Questions, Answered

  • There are three places to start:

    • Veil of Death and Shadow, Order of Reapers Book One

    • Academy of Protectors, The Protector Guild Book One

    • Saving the Protector

Each series can be read separately, and you can start at any of these entry points. There are fun easter eggs and potential spoilers wherever you begin - which means the grayverse is great for rereading!

  • Saving the Protector is a standalone novella that takes place a few years before The Protector Guild series begins. It can be read at any point in the journey, but I think your reading experience will be best if you read it before Fashioned by Flames, Book 6 in The Protector Guild series.

  • Right now, Order of Readers is planned to be a four book series (though no promises, I’ve longed stopped pretending I can control my characters).

I don’t have any information to share about audiobooks yet, but I will as soon as I do!

  • I get asked a lot about Levi, Samael, Lucifer, Sayty, etc.

The World Undone and The Protector Guild series bring Max and her team’s story to a happy close, but there is more to come in this world. I can’t share details without spoilers, but keep an eye on Order of Reapers ;)

  • I’m looking into special editions and selling direct on my site. Keep an eye out (and reach out to me on instagram to let me know there’s interest)!

  • In August or September 2026!

Preorders aren’t live, but join my newsletter so that you’re the first to know!

  • I typically put a call for ARC readers on instagram and my newsletter.

  • The boxed set contains the first three books in the series:

    • Academy of Protectors

    • Forging the Guild

    • Dreams of Hell

The first few books in the series are significantly shorter than the rest. I’ve always seen these first three books as Act One of Max’s story.

As the series got more complicated, and the books each got longer, I wanted to offer this option for readers.

  • Hopefully each series brings fresh and exciting characters, but there are some things you’ll likely always find in my work, no matter what:

    • slow burn angst and yearing. I have ADHD and tend to get very bored when my characters are happy and together for too long. The longer the pining goes on, the better.

    • more plot / character focus than spice (though there is definitely spice, especially as the series develop). My interest in why choose / reverse harem series emerged from excitement over all of the complexity and chaos and added personalities brought to relationship. I tend to be more invested in the found family and character development elements of the relationship. Spice comes later :)

    • lots of interior character monologues, many of which center around Alexithymia and the characters trying to understand their emotions.

    • my writing often focuses on themes of and around trauma, mental health, grief, community, found family, moral complexity, and dismantling oppressive systems (yes, yes, amongst the chaotic fun of a fantastical world and characters unabashedly pining for each other).
